The IC of Spain is pleased to present this new website, through which you can discover information about the activities of our organisation. We hope to have improved the site with all the latest information, enabling us to keep in touch with all our members.

The ICE was founded on 4th June 1973, as an initiative of Pablo Llorens, then President of the Spanish Tennis Federation and an executive of the International Federation. Other important collaborators included Fernando Olózaga, first President, Jaime Bartroli, the Conde de Godó, and Miguel Lerín.

The ICE has followed in the footsteps of the founders of the International Clubs, maintaining constant international activities, most notably with the Potter Cup, a competition founded by John Potter in 1972 in Biarritz and since 1979 organized at the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona, and due to celebrate its 40th edition in 2012.

I’d like to take this opportunity to stress the importance and the generosity of the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona in the growth and prestige of this event.

The ICE plans to implement other new competitions, according to organisational and sponsorship possibilities.

With warm regards,

Juan Mª Tintoré,
President, ICE
